SENSOR EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE FOR MERCEDES-BENZ A1614310101 Application The exhaust-gas temperature sensor A1614310101 is mounted in the diesel particulate-filter (DPF) outlet of Mercedes-Benz commercial-vehicle engines OM904, OM906, OM924, OM926 and OM936 built from 2006-on. Typical chassis are the Sprinter W906/W907, Atego W922, Econic W970, Axor W934 and Unimog U20/U30, covering on-highway delivery vans, municipal sweepers, refrigerated trucks and construction tippers. The probe tells the engine ECU the real-time post-DPF gas temperature so that active regenerations are triggered at 580 °C and desulphurisation cycles at 650 °C; an accurate signal prevents filter plugging, torque de-rate and dashboard MIL illumination.
