Description:
The Cat current loop speed sensor and the single and double Hall effect sensor operate based on the same Hall effect principle. Unlike traditional single and double Hall sensors that are dedicated to generating specific voltage outputs, current loop sensors are specifically designed to generate specific current level outputs. Since there is always current passing through the sensor (the magnitude of the current is uncertain, depending on whether the front part of the sensor is a tooth or a slot), the system can use the diagnostic function to detect whether a sensor is connected.
