Product Description

 

1. Product Information: R180 is an all solid state automatic voltage regulator (AVR) for exciting brushless alternators powered by permanent magnet (PMG) exciters or auxiliary windings.
2. Remote Potentiometer Terminal: R180 has an accessory input, which can be used as a remote potentiometer terminal when connected to a 1K ? potentiometer or when ± 4.5VDC is required to change the terminal voltage.
3. Voltage Droop: This automatic voltage regulator requires 1A and 5A from the U phase droop current transformer to provide voltage droop, allowing the alternator to operate in parallel.
4. Working Details: The alternating current generator phase to phase voltage samples, processes and converts V?W phase to DC value. The is compared with the reference value generated internally according to the voltage setting. The comparison is controlled by PID controller, and the alternator modulates (PWM) GBT circuit to regulate the excitation current, thus providing good dynamic, transient response.
