For Mercedes-Benz A1614310102 A160310803048 A0061530528 Gas Temperature sensor
Application:
This exhaust-gas temperature (EGT) probe is screwed into the turbocharger outlet pipe or the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) inlet on all Mercedes-Benz heavy-duty engines that use the 441 mm long M12x1.5 spade-type sensor head. Primary platforms are the 900-series (OM904 LA), 457-series (OM457 LA), 501-series (OM501 LA) and 502-series (OM502 LA) Euro-5/Euro-6 diesels found in Actros MP3/MP4, Arocs, Econic, Atego, Zetros, Unimog U4/U5 and Sprinter 4- and 6-cylinder variants (OM651, OM642). Trucks equipped with BlueTec 5/6 SCR systems rely on the sensor to provide the after-treatment control unit (ACM) with real-time exhaust temperature; the ACM uses the reading to trigger DEF dosing, DPF active regeneration and turbo-boost derate if over-temperature is detected. The same probe is therefore fitted to Freightliner Cascadia, Western Star 4700/4900 and Fuso Super Great units that carry the Mercedes-Benz power-train. Typical chassis ranges are Actros 963, 964, 965, Arocs 964, 965, 966 produced from 2008-on, plus Sprinter 906 and 907 models with option code M642/M651.
