Fuel Injector 2645L017 for Perkins 1004-40T 1004-4T and 1006-6T family engines
Application
The WESPC 2645L017 injector is a direct-injection, mechanically-actuated nozzle holder designed for Perkins 1004-40T, 1004-4T and 1006-6T family engines. It is therefore fitted to JCB 530-70 Loadall, Claas combine belt drives, Massey-Ferguson 5400-series tractors, Liu-Gong CLG835/842 loaders, FG Wilson P44-5 to P66-5 generator sets and other off-highway machines that use the 4.0 L or 6.0 L naturally-aspirated / turbo-charged Perkins builds.
Technical specifications
6-hole mini-sac nozzle, 150° spray angle, 18.5 mm³/stroke @ 1 000 bar test pressure; nozzle opening pressure 245 bar (shim-adjustable), needle lift 0.25 mm, overall length 142 mm, 14 mm O-ring sealing diameter. The valve is calibrated to deliver ±2 % fuel quantity spread across the cylinders, keeping visible smoke below 2.5 BSU at full load and idle within EU Stage II / EPA Tier 2 limits.
Material & performance features
Body is vacuum-hardened 18CrNiMo7-6 steel, chrome-plated stem Ra 0.2 µm to resist abrasive wear from low-sulphur diesel; nozzle tip is PVD-coated with diamond-like carbon (2 500 HV) giving >8 000 h service before hole erosion reaches 5 %. Copper sealing washer and fluorosilicone O-ring are supplied, ensuring IP67 sealing against high-pressure wash; every injector is end-of-line tested for delivery, leakage and back-flow, guaranteeing reliable cold-start down to −15 °C without white-smoke hesitation.
